Nayomi Sanctuary Resort 2016

[December 29-30, 2016]Two days before the new year, our family decided to go out to celebrate the holidays. I’ve been eyeing Nayomi Sanctuary Resort since November because of their Glamping packages. Yes, the “Glamorous Camping” everyone raves about. Personally, I’ve been a fan of the concept that even in one of our events last February 2015, I had this conceptualized with the team.

Nayomi Sanctuary Resort is perfectly located at Balete, Batangas. Thanks to Waze, we easily found the place. A tent good for 6 pax costs Php 8,748/ night (inc. 8% service charge) with the following inclusions:

  • Tent with 3 double beds
  • Own CR complete with shower, toilet bowl and sink
  • Veranda with table/chairs
  • Free breakfast for 6 pax (we only availed 5)
  • Use of the resort’s amenities (2 infinity pools, kid’s playground, common area)

The place does not have any Wi-Fi, and both Smart and Globe 3G/LTE signals are weak. This is just the right place to enjoy nature and spend quality time with your loved ones. The view is really beautiful and relaxing! The highest point of the resort overlooks the Taal Lake.

The tent and CR provided were both very clean and well-maintained. I was worried that the typhoon that hit Metro Manila days before our trip might have ruined the tent. We did not feel that the place was crowded even if they said that they are fully booked.

They also have a good customer service. Lhaine, the receptionist, was very jolly and accommodating when she welcomed us. She explained to us the area and the resort’s amenities. Also, since she knows that there’s no telephone in the tent, she provided her number so we can text or call her if we need anything.

One thing they can improve is the food. Like most resorts, the food is ok but a bit pricey with very little serving. We do not have any choice since the resort is in the middle of nowhere. It is also a downside that there’s a corkage fee if you bring your own food.

Overall, I still recommend going to this place, especially now that the weather is still cold. Tell me about your experience!

That’s it for now.

<3 always, Irene
